Nice Place in Porto

Pros: Great Location, very clean and everything you need

A fabulous apartment in a great location.

Pros: The apartment is located on a street with many restaurants in walking distance and next to a takeaway pizza for the kids. You can literally walk everywhere from here. The apartment is very well laid out, spacious enough for 4 of us. Great building, no noise at all, keyless entry, warm as we were visiting in Winter. Great communication with the owners. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner all provided which was full. Washing machine, dishwasher and tablets provided, coffee capsules. Every detail has been thought out.

Cons: We liked everything but be aware the top bedroom has a low roof but perfect for the kids.

Pros: Very good location, close to the city, metro and many tourist places.

Cons: There is a weak view by windows, but it is a city center, so we could not expect any nice view.

Pros: The vibe was great. The place was spotless and gave an upscale experience. The location is perfect for downtown amenities. Host was very responsive and generous.

Good location providing easy access to the city.

Pros: Nice clean apartment that has what you need for a self-sustained stay in Porto. Easy to reach and depart via Bolhão metro station if you travel via airport (OPO). Equally easy to use São Bento train station. Excellent access to the city center (shopping, sightseeing, restaurants and riverside wine bars). Closest option for groceries is 130m away (Pingo Doce). No need for public transport ticket if you don’t mind to walk just a bit. Lots of places within few hundred-meter radius to enjoy nice Francesinha. We tried Café Santiago and we liked it. As a tip, ask for sauce to be served on the side as this allows you to dose as per your preference. Combi Coffee just around the corner if a fancy a nice breakfast or a good cup of coffee (expect that it’s usually crowded). Good choice of bakeries also close by.

Cons: Next to amenities, proximity to the city center and ease of access there are few details that might annoy you a bit or a bit more. You need to consider that space in the apartment is limited and you might experience crowded moments for example in bathroom area if you travel for example as a group of 4, planning helps ;). Space limitations are understandable as Porto is an old city, however, there are some technical issues that should or could have been avoided. First thing is that upper bedroom has an issue with ventilation or it perhaps would be fair to say that it has none. Higher room temperature and limited oxygen level is unavoidable (standalone ventilator helps only a little). Secondly, you will be well aware that you have neighbors as walls are thin and some technical shortcuts are probably made during renovation.

The best I have stayed throughout my entire trip that stretches from Logrono, Burgos, Madrid and Porto.

Pros: The property is very well staged and very well equipped. I love the Rituals toiletries and the senses throughout the apartment. The welcome gift (bottle of red wine) was a pleasant surprise. Very thoughtful of the host. Andre, the host, was very pro-active with providing information and very quick response with queries. Lastly, the location was just perfect. Centrally located within walking distance from all attractions.

Cons: This was nothing that we didn’t like about the property. In fact it was just perfect!
