Great stay at ALMARELA apartments with breakfast

Pros: Staying in ALMARELA apartments was great - the accomodation was new, clean, comfy and located centrally. There was some noise from the outside, but nothing bad, although we stayed there in Feruary, which might be off-season. Everything was walking distance. We also ordered breakfast, which was delivered every morning on our doorstep - pastry, butter, ham, cheese, sweet pastry, jam, coffee pod for coffee machine, juice, milk and bowl of fresh fruits. The owner of the accommodation was very welcoming and replied to our messages very quickly. We also utilized free umbrelass in the hallway on our last day. 10/10 recommend and would stay here again. Thanks! :)

Pros: The room was located in the city center. There was a McDonald’s, a metro station, bus stops, and shops nearby. Various attractions were within walking distance. We really liked it. It was quite quiet, and there were heaters that could be turned on to create a comfortable indoor climate. We ordered breakfasts, which were delivered packaged and left at the door, which was actually very convenient. The breakfasts were quite tasty. It was also possible to leave our luggage before check-in and after check-out, which was very convenient. Overall, we liked the room.

Cons: To no fault of the owner but the lifts were out of order while we stayed lucky we were on the 1st floor and not the 3rd or 4th 😬

Pros: Almarela was by far the best place we stayed at in Portugal. It was larger than we expected, exceptionally clean, the bathroom was well designed especially as when travelling there is often no room for toiletries and they had a wonderful basin cabinet. Exceptional additions that make a guest feel good are the coffee capsules, tea bags, milk etc and especially the Christmas chocolates! Access was so easy with codes. Loved the door system. Although we arrived late and left very early for flight the hosts crept sending messages to see if everything was ok. Thank you.

Cons: Nothing! There was even a stand with umbrellas in the foyer for guests! And we needed them!

Comfortable and modern apartment in a well preserved building that provides more than what we asked for

Pros: Conveniently located in one of the little streets that is walkable to most of the main spots in Porto. Apartment is immaculately clean and looks newly renovated or well maintained.

Pros: Location, cleanliness, communication with hosts. Had all the amenities you could ask for. Free umbrellas to use at the entrance, which came in very handy!

Cons: The pillows were too thick. Construction work taking place right now on weekday mornings.
