A lovely host with a lovely apartment

Pros: Carla met us at the apartment and gave us several recommendations of what to see and where to eat. We found these very useful and particularly enjoyed eating at the restaurant A Taska. Carla provided her famous orange cake, which was delicious (as well as bottles of water and orange)! The apartment had all we needed (bathroom toiletries, plenty of towels, powerful shower and plenty of hot water, plus well-equipped kitchen and good wifi). It's not right in the centre of the town, but not far to walk in, and there are several places to eat and drink nearby. It's in a quiet square away from the tourist hubbub (although see comment below about building work) and we enjoyed breakfast (Carla's cake!) in the morning sunshine on the balcony.

Cons: It's at the top of the hill, so a tiring walk back home at the end of the day. Also, there is some building work going on next door, so it could be a bit noisy between 8 am and 6pm (not all the time, but was very noisy one late afternoon).

Great apartment with wonderful host.

Pros: The apartment is large. There is a lift..yeh.!! Host welcomed us with a yummy orange cake and lots of suggestions. A good supermarket is just up the road. Loved the train trip up the Douro river through all the vineyards. 7 Hour round trip went fast. Carla was wonderful. On our last day we left our cell phone in the apartment. Carla cancelled her appointment and came to the apartment. She then took us to the station so we wouldn’t miss our train. What a fantastic host.

Cons: Unfortunately there is major construction next door. However it is quiet at night and on a Sunday. It shouldn't disturb you much at all.

Simply perfect!

Pros: The apartment is in perfect location in the centre of Porto, it is superclean and very cosy, also well equipped. The wellcome of our host was so warm, thank you for that! We would definitely come again.

Pros: Great place to stay in Porto! The apartment was clean and perfectly located in the city center – everything was within walking distance, including main attractions, restaurants. Communication with the host was excellent – quick, friendly, and helpful. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Porto.

Cute little hideaway but close to the action

Pros: Excellent location close to cafes and bars but away from the real tourist hub. Carla gave us a wonderful welcome and recommendations for things to see and do…..and the homemade orange cake was a real treat!

Pros: This is a well-located apartment close to the city and many great sightseeing spots. It’s perfect for a couple, and we really enjoyed our stay! Carla was wonderful and made us feel very welcome we truly appreciated that. Just a couple of small things that could be improved: The shower pressure is great, but the shower head is a bit tricky to manage and can easily cause water to spill into the bathroom. The sofa bed isn’t very comfortable, especially for longer stays. Overall, though, it was a lovely experience. Thank you again!

Pros: The apartment exceeded all our expectations! Very bright, clean, comfortable apartment in a great quiet area of ​​the city. All attractions are within a 10-minute walk. There is a supermarket and a metro station nearby. The hostess met us personally and cooked a divine pie! We liked everything very much.
