Pestana Apartments - Premium

Great location, excellent host

Pros: Nicely located amongst local restaurants & markets. An easy walk into the city heart

Cons: Not complaining, but late night foot traffic & conversations on the footpath outside the bedroom window would wake me

Pros: Good location (you can walk to the city center), free street parking, a couple of grocery stores nearby, a helpful and friendly host, spacious and clean rooms, all kitchen utensils, powerful air conditioning, terrace (we didn't use it), comfortable beds, fast internet, spacious shower.

Cons: Noisy fan and dim lighting in the bathroom.

We had a great stay at a Pestana apartment.

Pros: We liked that host met us at the property and that he was available when we needed him. We also liked his suggestions about transport, local shops and restaurants and things to see. We had detergent for both dish washer and washing machine that some hosts do not provide which is very inconvenient when you travel. We liked the coffee machine, closeness of public transport and shops and restaurants. We liked the apartment overall.

Pros: The property is extremely clean and gets lots of natural light. Comfortable double bed in both bedrooms. The kitchen is well equipped with all the utensils needed. Bathroom is spacious and the towels smell really good. Big balcony at the front and a small one at the back. The centre is within walking distance, took us about 20-25 min. 100% recommended.

Cons: Unpleasant odor in the cupboard under the sink.

Comfortable stay

Pros: The host Leo was polite and always helpful. All the amenities in the apartment were great. The grocery store nearby was advantageous. A couple of small footstools by the sofa would be good for soar feet after walking the cobblestone streets all day. The noise at nights makes it a bit difficult for sleeping. The homeless/mentally ill were out shouting at night. Not the apartment owners fault though.

Pros: Lovely that the host Leo met is in person and have helpful advice. Loved that the apartment was a short cheap bus or taxi away from all the main Porto attractions. Nice and modern and like new! Unfortunately the coffee machine was so hard to use though! Would recommend as a good base to see them beautiful city.

Pros: Nice location - bus stop is nearby, metro is reachable in 10 minutes. Shops, restaurants and small caffees. Apartment is well equipped with everything you need for a stay. Free parking lots behind the building are also handy. Thanks!

Worth the money!

Pros: Leo is a great host! Very helpful with advices about exploring the town. The apartment itself is new, clean and spacious. Bed is pretty comfy. Maybe location is a bit outside the city centre, but within 15 min walk you are already at Bolhao market. Plus, we could park our car for free in the street just beside the building. 👍
