Perfect stay in Porto

Pros: Nice fully equipped kitchen, perfect and very friendly host.

Cons: A little bit of a hard mattress and one bedroom has low ceiling

Wonderful Experience – Highly Recommended!

Pros: We had a fantastic stay at Bairro Alegre, Casa do Porto. Our hosts Alvaro and his wife were exceptionally friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. The house was clean, bright, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would like to come back again, this time for a longer stay.

Pros: The host was very helpful and put together a great plan for what to visit in Porto. The accommodation was cozy, and it was also possible to sit in the small garden.

Pros: Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality during our stay in Porto. We truly enjoyed every moment — your apartment was not only clean and comfortable but also full of thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. We especially appreciated the coffee, salt, sugar, oil, and the first aid supplies — these small details really made a big difference. The cozy backyard was also a lovely surprise; it gave us a peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Your kindness and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. We’re very grateful and will happily recommend your place to anyone visiting Porto.

Pros: Great place! The host was very friendly and gave us all the information we needed about Porto.The house was warm and fully equiped! Great spot near to the bus station although we went everywhere on foot...i would choose it again!

A brief but enjoyable stay, thanks to a cozy apartment and excellent communication with the host.

Pros: Very good communication with the host, proactive and ready to help. Patient and understanding, although the arrival flight was delayed for quite some time. Thank you. The apartment is exceptionally well-equipped, with items for every need.

Great host

Pros: It was a lovely property with a garden to sit in. We cooked there a few nights and the kitchen was well equipped. Alvaro was a fabulous host, giving us tips on where to go in Porto. The laundry was out of service due to renovations but Alvaro organised an alternative for us which was appreciated. When one of our group fell ill he offered to go the chemist. 12 out of 10 points for Alvaro. Thank you.

Cons: It’s a good half an hours walk to the centre. We managed ok but less mobile people may need to find a taxi or public transport.

Pros: Cozy apartment located 10 minutes from the campo 24 agosto metro station. Well equipped, good communication with the host

Cons: Hot water was not really enough for 3 people

Pros: We loved everything about this place. We even regretted not having planned a longer stay in Porto.

Cons: Onw single issue. We had to pay 12 euros for city tax, that we should have been informed about priorly. For the car owners, please inform the host beforehand so he can arrange a parking space for you beforehand.

Clean, cosy apartment in Porto

Pros: Lovely welcome by the host, gave us a map of the area, pointing out recommended places to visit. Although the weather was not great, there was lots of rain, the garden would be lovely to sit in during the warmer months.

Cons: toilet and shower were downstairs.
