Excellent apartment - ideal location

Pros: Great location within Vila Nova de Gaia! Lovely apartment with plenty of amenities and a fantastic view looking across Porto. Romain is a great host and provided some great recommendations. The location is a 5-10 minute walk to the World of Wines where there are a number of bars, restaurants & museums - well worth a visit.

Cons: Just be careful of the stairs to the top apartment - very slippery when it rains.

great location for port houses with fantastic views

Pros: lovely space across two apartments for two couples . well located for port houses. nice to have washing machine facilities. beautfiul view from upper apartement.

Cons: we stayed for nearly a week and no cleaning took place (which we knew) but woudl be nice as an additioanl extra the stairs upto teh top apartemtns get VERY slippy when wet- even mornign dew- so be very careful/coudl do with being coated in non slip

Pros: Great location. 2 min walk to waterfront or 5 mins up to Jardin Du Morro

Cons: Ground floor appartment described as having a view of the quiet street. Didn't describe the constant stream of cars, motorbikes, buses etc 24/7. Luckily had ear plugs. No bed side light switch.

Pros: The apartment was near to everywhere you want to go, and far enough away to be peaceful. Clean, tidy and everything in working order. The owner was more than helpful when our flight was delayed at almost the last minute, resulting in an unplanned very late arrival.

Cons: The steps up to the top floor apartment are fine most of the time, but we could have done with some light on them in the dark for a 5:30 am departure.

Stay in Gaia! Beautiful walk to Porto & opportunities to explore less touristy areas

Pros: We had a very late check in and the host was very supportive and easy to communicate with for handing over the keys and facilitating the check in process. The location of the property was fantastic for us, and walking north across the river to Porto was such a beautiful walk every morning. Staying in Gaia also gave us an opportunity to explore food markets and areas that are slightly less touristy which was a very pleasant surprise.

Pros: The location was perfect. Flat was new, everything was very clean. No complaints!

Cons: The pillows were poor and overall comfort of the bed did not match the high standard of the rest of the facilities.

Enjoyable 4-night stay very close to the centre of the up and coming Port district.

Pros: Private entrance, 5 minutes downhill walk to the river, many nearby bars and restaurants, nice decor, very helpful host who kept in contact when needed. Good shower room, plenty of storage space. Welcome pack of port and pastries.

Cons: Steep uphill walk to return. Some people may find the immediate area a bit run-down.

Pros: Conforto do apartamento num geral era muito bom, cozinha bem completa e lavadora de roupas.

Cons: A cama poderia ser um pouco maior, é bem apertada para um casal.
