Charming Antas House

Pros: The name of this hotel is descriptive of the property and the hostess, ’charming.’ The hotel is spotlessly clean, the breakfast was excellent and the hostess was very friendly and helpful.

Fabulous stay in Porto.

Pros: Beautifully presented and comfortable property with spacious room and bathroom. The breakfast is amazing with everything you could possibly wish for. Manuela goes above and beyond in every way. The location is in a nice area with lots of cafes and restaurants close by. It is a short drive (by Uber around 5 euros) to the city centre. This is an amazing property and we loved it.

Cons: Nothing not to love

Wonderfyl quirky little hotel with onsite parking and a lovely garden offering an oasis of peace

Pros: Wonderful quirky house. Manuela looked after us like family. Superb freshly cooked breakfast eggs, bacon plus home made cakes and pastries, fruit etc. Help yourself honest bar. On site parking. Garden to sit and enjoy an evening cocktail. Dont be put off by the location. Its an oasis of peace after the noisy bustle of Porto and an easy and cheap taxi or uber ride into Porto. Lots of good local restaurants.

Pros: Wonderful quirky house full of character and an electic mix of pictures, photos, artefacts and ornaments! Big comfortable beds and flat showers ensuite. Manuela is a fantastic host who looked after us as if we were family. Delicious freshly cooked eggs and bacon as well aa croissant, toast, home baked cakes and local jams and fresh fruit. There is An honesty bar to help yourself to wine spirits liquors. Manuela will also provide tapas on request (ham cheeses etc). Lovely little garden to sit and enjoy ithe sun. An oasis of peace after the noise and bustle of downtown Porto. Easy to leave your car in her driveway. Quick and easy trip from the airport (30 minutes or less) Dont be put off by the location as its a quick and cheap taxi or uber ride into town. Good restaurants and a Pingo Doce supermarket 5 minutes walk and a big park.

Amazing

Pros: It’s hard to sum up how amazing this hotel & its host is. Right from the start a warm welcome, recommendation on where to visit & eat all washed down with a glass of Port. The accommodation was very clean throughout, the room perfect & attention to detail was shown in everything. This was shown in the breakfast which was enormous, everything you can ask for. No lunch required after this breakfast. Thank you so much so had an amazing stay, we would definitely recommend The Charming House to friends & family and definitely will stay here again.

Pros: Charming Antas House is a great place to stay while you visit Porto. The house itself takes you on a little trip back in time, while the hosts are very hospitable and kind. Manuela might remind you of an aunt in Portugal, that you came to visit on your holidays, as she creates home-like atmosphere. She cares about details and you can see that in everything - interiors, table settings, cooking (everyday you get eggs and becon in a different way :)). Breakfasts are delicious and home-made jams are spectacular. The house is very clean, the towels and bed linen smell really nice (the cleaning lady does a great job 👏). On the first day Manuela gave us a map of Porto and explained what is worth seeing and where to go, which was very helpful and we followed her tips. We highly recommend this place!

Pros: It's quite hard to describe how amazing this place is. Manuela is one of the best hosts I have ever seen. Her attention to detail, the food she prepares, the cleanliness of the house can hardly be explained, you just have to be there and experience it all.

Cons: Nothing. Everything was of the highest standard.
