Our Home City Flat

Pros: Cozy apartments in the center of Porto. Ribeira is a 20-minute walk away or easily reachable by metro; Lapa metro station is just a 3-minute walk and also provides a direct connection to the airport. There are restaurants, supermarkets, and walking areas nearby. The apartment has everything you need, including many nice little touches and souvenirs, as well as a fully equipped kitchen. The owner, Cristina, is welcoming and friendly; as a welcome gesture, cookies and sweets were waiting for us in the apartment.

Cons: The apartment is located in an old building without central heating. We used a heater to warm the space, but it was not sufficient, as the building is designed to stay cool rather than retain heat. As a result, we felt cold in the mornings and evenings, especially in the bathroom. Also, the bedroom is not a separate room but rather a space divided by the kitchen unit. There are no walls between the living room and the bedroom, so everything happening in the kitchen and living area can be heard in the sleeping area.

Fantastic location, very comfortable apartment

Pros: The location is fantastic, 20 minutes walking from the Ribeira, although it is a little bit steepy. The apartment is very comfortable, and the mattress are fantastic. The bathroom is small, and the water from the shower can sometimes splash outside, but it was not a problem for us.

Cons: There is no lift in the building. Although it is on the first floor, we had 7 big luggage (we are coming from a 1 year trip in England), and we took a while to go up and down. The rest is fantastic!

Really cute and clean apartment

Pros: Very good location and lovely apartment. It had everything we need.

Pros: First of all ladies who weclomed us, were so polite and full of helful informations. Cristina sent us few more mesages about imortant things to see amd visit. Location of flat was perfect for walk, to see everything in historical center, also to walk to the ocean. Apartment is very clean, with all necesery equipment that you need. I truly recomend this aparment for 2 or as we werw family of 4.

Cons: I must say that beds were not that comfortable, but it's not that bad of you going to stay few nights as we did.

Pros: The apartment was clean and well equipped. The check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. The owner, Cristina, was very helpful and answered to all of our questions!

Cons: Because the apartment is on a busy street, it can be a bit noisy, even with the windows closed. The bed was not very comfortable, because it was hard and you could feel the springs.

Pros: Everything was perfect! We had an excellent stay. Lovely flat and well decorated. Everything was in working condition. Great location too as near the centre and a metro stop nearby. Great communication with the lady who rented the flat and always willing to help.

Cons: The only downside was the noise if the balcony windows were opened as it was a busy road even at night. However when the balcony doors and windows were shut it was okay. But as it was a central location is to be expected.

Pros: The flat is really nice, everything you need is there. Location is also quite good, next to the station to get to/from the airport and it is also not very far away from Douro river. The owner was absolutely lovely. Thank you a lot!

Pros: The host was extremely helpful. The place was clean and close to the main sights.

Cons: We would have appreciated more toilet paper and more coffee :)
