Authentic Porto House

Pros: Our stay at the estate was absolutely wonderful. Everything was truly magnificent and maintained to the highest standard. The cleanliness was exceptional — even inside the wardrobes there was no dust at all, and the floors were spotless. We were delighted by the thoughtful welcome gifts: a lovely bottle of wine, delicious treats and cookies. The bed linen and towels were of excellent quality, and every detail was clearly taken care of with great attention. Everything was at the highest level, and we truly felt comfortable and welcomed. We would be very happy to return and highly recommend this place.

Cons: The only small issue we experienced was with the air conditioner. Unfortunately, when it was plugged in, the circuit breaker would trip, so the unit was not operational at the moment. Because of this, it was a little cold at times. Other than that, everything was absolutely perfect, and we truly enjoyed our stay.

Amazing stay

Pros: Easy self check-in, good indications from the owner. The view from the flat is incredible, the facility is amazing, all you need. As per the pictures. We did not get any issue of sounds coming from neighbors, it was very quiet. Highly recommended, I will go back there if I have the opportunity and if I have to come back to Porto!

Wonderful views and peaceful location

Pros: The location of the apartment is fantastic with a wonderful view across the Douro and walking distance to many restaurants and tourist sites Spacious living area. Responsive hosts. We would definitely choose to stay here again

Cons: The shower worked fine but cubicle is small and starting to show signs of wear. We completely understand that Portugal requires full passport info etc upfront, but uploading photos smaller than 1.5mb is tricky with an iPhone. The management team were very helpful and provided another solution

Lovely, priceworthy apartment with a beautiful view.

Pros: The views were just stunning from the top floor! We could not have chosen a better location based on restaurants, sights and parking. We could actually see our rental car parked in the parking lot by the river from the apartment. We also enjoyed the wine, snack and flower package they fixed for us when we arrived!

Cons: The drawers in the kitchen were a bit annoying, but very manageble considering everything else.

Pros: The house itself is really beautiful. The location is perfect, it is a bit up the hill or a climb of stairs away, but that’s just Porto in general. The location is perfect, everything is either walking distance or by transport that is available very close to the house. Separate thank you to the team, who were always available through message, with quick replies and kind attitude. Additionally, there were complementary welcome gifts left for us upon arrival - cookies and wine, which was very appreciated!

Cons: The cleanliness of the apartment wasn’t the best, unfortunately. First thing to notice when entering is that the air was very stale, as if the windows haven’t been opened in a long while. We stayed on the very first floor, so the windows there are quite small, but if opened, they let in a lot of natural light and fresh air. Then the bedding, the sheets had dirty spots on them. As well as, the stale air and humidity were high, so the smell of the sheets wasn’t the best and the feeling of it was rather moist. The floor was also not very clean. The bathroom was okay, except the carpet that was left to be put on the floor also had weird spots on it.

Pros: Really great location, river view was super nice. Apartment also had everything you would need.

Pros: Very spacious, everything you would need for a short break. The views are incredible, and actually a better location than I thought when booking it.

Cons: The stairs! But the views make it worth it
