Ribeira Loft

Character filled apartment

Pros: Super location right near waterfront and St Francisco church yet quiet. Excellent communication with host and welcome from Simon. Comfortable beds. However it is an attic and felt a bit like being on a boat with needing to duck and hold on to beams and the very tiny bathroom. But it has character and is great value.

Pros: The loft was clean and comfortable. The heaters worked well. It was quiet, no noise from street or neighbours. Nice views with windows on every side let lots of natural light in.

Cons: It was a good climb up every day, both the stairs in the building, and to get up to the main square. The bathroom is not ideal - basically a cupboard with a shower and toilet and no way to properly close or lock the door. Watch your head on the beams.

Lovely central location. Ideal for a short break with minimal luggage.

Pros: Lovely clean bright space. Excellent location so close to the main waterfront

Cons: The stairs. Could be better described in the information before booking. Don’t stay here with heavy or bulky luggage.

Pros: There was not one thing we didn't like. Quiet, great atmosphere, comfortable, cute.

Cons: Anyone with mobility issues don't book this. 5th floor loft, narrow steep steps up to the loft. 20 min walk to nearest Metro station Sao Bento uphill. If stairs and hills don't bother you don't hesitate to book.

Coquet appartement près du Douro

Pros: Appartement très calme et très bien situé dans le quartier de la Ribeira, juste à côté du Douro. Cuisine bien équipée, canapé confortable. Lumineux même quand il pleut dehors.

Cons: Tout était parfait sauf la literie un peu dure.

Too many steps to climb, parts of which have no railing and they are steep

Pros: The location was not quite the best but no bad, it was quiet

Cons: The loft is 75 narrow and steep steps up and no elevator

Liebevolles, gemütliches Loft in prima Lage.

Pros: Gemütliches, kleines Loft in prima Lage für romantischen Aufenthalt. Kein Lärm!

Cons: Viele Treppen nach oben. Eine sportliche Herausforderung. Es könnte Zucker, Tee und mehr Kaffee Tabs bereitstehen.

Pros: We loved the location and amenities. Very convenient to the bus stop and lots of great restaurants nearby. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed.

Cons: The stairs leading up aren't great, but we only went up/down once per day. The bigger concern is the step into the living room. I was very nervous that I was going to trip and fall down the stairs going from the bedroom to the living room and vice versa. I also found it inconvenient that we had to meet someone to check-in. We weren't flying in and so didn't have a set time that we were going to arrive. We had thought we would be earlier, but then the train was delayed. We had to wait almost an hour to meet with someone to get into the apartment.

Cons: Enge Treppen zum 5. Stock

Pros: Gute Lage, originelles Appartement. Nahe am Trubel, aber nicht mittendrin.

Cons: Für die Treppen empfiehlt sich körperliche Fitness ;)
