Boutique Rentals- Hidden Garden Porto's downtown

Wonderful property in great location. Would stay there again and recommend it to others.

Pros: Welcoming host, who explained everything on arrival. Great communication. Lovely property in central, but quieter location. Clean, well-stocked kitchen, including a herb drawer, for cooking. 2 x beautiful bathrooms. A place for book lovers - Bookshelves in almost every room. Huge bed in beautifully decorated bedroom. Plenty of storage for clothes/suitcases. Gorgeous long private garden, with herbs and lemon trees. Bus stop close to property and Metro not too far away. Lovely park at front of property (sadly, closed for renovation while we were there).

Cons: Very little to find wrong with this apartment. No handrail on stairs, which could be a problem for some. Despite having everything supplied to do cooking, there seemed to be little space to store ingredients, other than the fridge. Marble floor in downstairs shower can be slippery.

Pros: A lot of space in the apartment; the garden was lovely to relax in during the evening and also made the apartment a quiet oasis in the city. Everything was immaculate and provided all we needed. Bed was really comfy too!

Cons: We struggled a bit with the tv, getting terrestrial channels. The remote control is solar powered but kept running out of juice and needed plugging in to recharge.

One of our best holidays in self catering.

Pros: We loved the spaciousness of the property and the comfort. It was so well equipped. with top of the range equipment.Having a garden was exceptional and the Trindade metro just down the road made travel very easy. Bus stops outside the apartment and it was a 15 minute downhill walk to San Bento railway station . We travelled everywhere, but up the Douro valley by train was the highlight.The Pingo across the square met all our needs for groceries and fresh items ( wonderful fish) and more. We had a couple of queries which were answered straight away. Very much appreciated being able to go in earlier then 4pm on our first day - thanks.

Cons: Two small points . A non slip mat for the shower would be useful. The settee seems to slope wildly on one side and may be it needs replacing.

Great property, with a secluded garden and all the must-haves & more for your stay. We loved it!

Pros: The apartment was beautifully decorated and had everything you'd need for your stay from cleaning to nice-to-have's such as coffee pods and an array of seasonings. The hosts were really communicative and offered lots of explorations options and were on hand if we needed assistance during our stay. There is a lot of local record stores, vintage clothing boutiques, antique stores very close-by, and lots of really nice eateries within 5 minutes of the property.

Cons: At the time we visited the park opposite was under construction, and there wasn't much going on in that part of town, but luckily Porto is quite small and you're within a 5-15minute walk from most things. A very minor thing but for my own taste the pillows at this apartment were not very firm so it took some getting used to, and it should be noted that there is natural feather items in the apartment which did trigger some of my allergies, unfortunately but nothing anti-histamines couldn't fix!

A gorgeous property with a secret garden - this place has the WOW factor!

Pros: A stunning, extremely clean property in a fantastic location! The place was so wonderfully kitted out with everything you might need. It's a peaceful place and the garden is truly magical. Our children loved staying here just as much as we did!

Cons: The stairs gave us a little bit of a headache owing to our crazy toddler accompanying us but we managed to quickly form a routine and dealt with them fine for the remainder of our trip.

An absolute gem of a place

Pros: We loved literally everything about this very spacious, superbly equipped, beautifully decorated gem of a place, and I'll always remember it for the garden and patio. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time there after a long day. One could hardly believe it is in the middle of Porto. If I could give this more than a 10, I would! Highly recommended. (Please don't put the price up - we want to go back. ) The service is also excellent. On our first morning there, I realised the hairdryer wasn't working. No problem - a brand new one dropped off on the same day. Valentim, who met us upon arrival, was great and a big help with recommendations. It's also very well situated, within easy walking distance to all the attractions but in a slightly less crowded area.

Cons: Absolutely nothing.

Pros: Lovely apartment; beautifully decorated. Awesome garden. Very comfortable!

Absolutely stunning

Pros: I have stayed in dozens of vacation rentals all around this world, and this has to be one of the best, if not the best. It's gorgeously furnished, has an incredible well-stocked kitchen, insanely comfortable bed, fabulous bathrooms...and the garden literally made my speechless. Completely fabulous all around.

Cons: Self check in would be nice! And the location is a bit further from the center than I'd like...but it's totally worth it.
