D&S - Family Apartments II

Very good.

Pros: This is a lovely modern apartment in a nice, quiet neighbourhood. We were 2 adults and 3 children and there was plenty of space. It is very nicely decorated, has good appliances and is well equipped with everything you might need. The beds are very comfortable. It does not have air conditioning, but does have fans for each room. There are a number of good restaurants within 5 mins walk. It is a nice 30min walk into the centre of Porto with other things to see, cafe's / restaurants on the way. Would recommend and would stay here again.

Cons: The host was late meeting us on arrival, so we were left waiting outside on the street for about 20mins. They apologised when they arrived. We also reported a problem with the fridge as soon as we arrived, but this was not fixed before we left. The hosts were still very helpful, but this was disappointing and hosts should ensure they either provide a code or lock box, or arrive on time, and fixing things promptly when faults are reported is very important to guests.

Loved this apartment and our stay in Porto.

Pros: The apartment was fantastic. We were meet by Alfredo who was very friendly and took time to help us park the car and answer any questions about the apartment and the area. The property was very clean and well furnished for our family group of six. The lift and carpark were a welcome bonus. A lovely walk each day into the centre and all the beautiful sights of Porto . lots of local restaurants and coffee near the apartment. Supermarket a short walk away. A fabulous three nights in Porto. Would highly recommend this apartment.

if you are planning to use the apartment only for sleep purposes it is really great

Pros: the apartment was really big and comfortable, (we were 3). also the neighbourhood was very calm and safe, you can safely come late back to the apartment. the host were also kind and available on whatsapp!

Cons: the location was good because we mainly used uber/bolt or just walked, but if you are planning to use public transport it is not a very comfortable place to stay. also the place wasn`t really clean and also we asked we didn't get enough towels or any soap at all.

Great spacious apartment for a larger family in central area

Pros: Great specious apartment with all you need for a homely feeling. If you are staying with more people everybody can have their own space but as well be together in the living room. Having parking down in the building was a big plus and the distance to the city center by either foot or car is close by. Staff was always responsive on WhatsApp as well.

Cons: The biggest issue we had was that the heating wasn’t working, which was really needed in November. We had pointed it out from day one, they came to check but didn’t fix anything. Only somewhere after 1 week they provided us 1 portable electric heater that’s clearly not enough for such a big apartment. They said they could not do anything more and no compensation was offered. This resulted in all of us getting sick, including my 3 year old daughter. Next things were the beds. The bed in the masterbedroom was comfortable, yet the other two rooms had very cheap/uncomfortable beds/mattresses. For a child they would do but for adults not. Last thing was the mid stay cleaning which was included in the stay. They came after 18:00 and stayed till after 21:00, which we found a bit unacceptable especially with having a small child Overall if the above would be fixed I would definitely stay and recommend the apartment to everybody.

This is a fantastic apartment with everything one could need for a short or long stay. We loved it.

Pros: We loved the space. We could spread out and everyone had their own corner. The apartment was very clean and well-equipped. Rita, who greeted us and let us in, was a wealth of information and took the time to send us a list of sites and restaurants to consider. The little balcony was a plus. Two bedrooms have twin beds and one has a queen. One of the bedrooms has its own bathroom and a full closet. The queen room doesn't have a closet but there is storage in other areas. Each room has a fan. The windows open for light and air. The temps when we were in Porto were mild so the windows were lovely. We used the washing machine which was incredibly helpful when traveling for weeks at a time. The dining table allowed for us to have meals and work and play games. The building had an elevator - one of us uses a cane so that was helpful. There are a bakery and restaurant close by. It met all of our needs and felt very comfortable. Highly, highly recommend.

Cons: The main bathroom had a broken shower piece so the handheld couldn't be secured to take the shower. And the toilet seat was loose. We asked to have them repaired but no one came. Minor inconvenience. The kitchen could use a small skillet.

Pros: Tha apartment has a private parking inside an underground parking lot, this was great because we were traveling with a rented car.

excellent and beautiful place to stay

Pros: we are more thank surprised and super happy we found this place. Its a spacious place-perfect to share with a group of people. you have your privacy but also it give a warm and welcome family come together vibe. The location wasn’t far from the city center. For less than 5€ you can get an uber.

Cons: for my Canadian family member it was a bit of struggling without an AC,there is a fan existing. But over and all nothing to complain.

Pros: The apartment was really comfortable and spacious for 6 adults.
