Great little hotel with a traditional feel

Pros: Lovely big spacious room with tall ceilings and lots of original features. Everything felt clean and worked well. Great shower with lots of pressure. Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast was plenty full for us and fresh, but I can imagine it may not suit everyone as it was basic continental. We had to have breakfast earlier than the normal times for an early start one day and it wasn't a problem. Despite turning up very early expecting to drop off our bags, we were welcomed and shown to our room. We were warned the restaurant may disturb us and the busy road but we had a very peaceful stay. We loved this little hotel and would recommend it.

Cons: The reception is not always manned and we were a bit confused when we arrived as we hadn't arranged an arrival time. The location wasn't an issue as there is a bus stop across the street, but it is a 20 minute journey on foot into the centre. The return journey is uphill. The breakfast room was rather tired and could do with a bit of TLC.

Pros: It’s a very beautiful old hotel but with modern facilities. Well located. Nice breakfast. The weather was awful so we weren’t able to enjoy the garden which looked lovely from our rain streaked window.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay in Porto

Pros: This is a really lovely place to stay, about 10-15mins walk from the centre of Porto. The house is beautifully styled with vintage pieces which really suit the high ceilings, original wooden floors and doors and large windows, giving a really peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. The breakfast is fresh and plentiful. Most of all the team at Oporto Loft are lovely, very kind and helpful. We'd love to stay again if we come back to Porto!

We love it!

Pros: Special place in Porto, only 5 rooms. Very nice personal. Breakfast a great start into the day with all you need…including homemade sweets and bread. Parking in near by garage possible. City enter and douro in waking distance.

Pros: The location was great, and so was my room. The staff was also very kind and helpful. The garden behind the building is fabulous. Everything was great.

Cons: A small desk in the room would have been good to have at a hotel across the university that people might choose for a conference as I did.
