Very worth -the-price hostel

Pros: Virtually everything. Good location. Very clean room. Beds are made up every day. A free towel is included for a deposit of €5. Very cosy common area that made me wanted to linger linger. Have discount for wine tours of Sandaman.

Cons: The room lighting was set to be turned on only from 9:30 am to 9:30 pm, which is totally unheard of. This should have been fully informed to the guest during check in. The included breakfast was a bit basic. You are allowed only one piece of ham and one piece of sliced cheese.

Pros: The double bed is really comfortable and the breakfast is delicious.

Cons: One of the bathrooms was locked, which meant one less bathroom to share amongst the guests.

Pros: Great location, lovely room and communal area, and friendly staff

Cons: Would suggest having more hooks and shelves in the bathroom. There wasn’t enough space to keep toiletries / change of clothes in there.

Female solo trip - excellent!

Pros: Everything about the stay was wonderful. Very thorough and kind welcoming from Alex! All of the team behind reception we're so friendly and helpful too, no problems there! I highly recommend from a female solo travellers pov. Super safe and comfortable. The communal areas are great if you want to chill and do your own thing or socialise and make friends. The only thing I would say is that the bathrooms in the all female dorm could do with a bit of updating but still provide exactly what is needed - just bring some slippers :). Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Cons: The bathrooms in the female dorm need better ventilation, that's all :)

So happy to have satayed at the House of Sandeman.

Pros: Breakfast was excellent, as were the staff. The view from the room was fantastic, and despite the area being busy, we heard no noise. Loved our stay in this quirky but excellent hostel.

Cons: We had a storm one night and rain dripped into our room.

Cons: Personal without information took my item so I needed time to look for my purse, yes it was late check out, still was sort of unexpected surprise

Pros: Location, bed, living room, breakfast all facilities were great. Best location to explore.

Cons: Someone was snoring really loudly and it interrupted my sleep, but it was a shared room, so I guess it's lucky that everything was perfect.

Pros: Great place. We had one of the newer rooms looking onto the river. View is amazing and the room is very spacious. Biggest bed I Eber had. Bathroom is also very big, especially the shower. Staff was very friendly and helpful. You get a discount for food and tours at Sandeman, can highly recommend the tour of the cellar as well.

Cons: There was always a chill air flow through the room because air is coming in at the Windows and maybe the roof. It was okay when warm outside, might be getting cold in the winter.
