Hotel S. Marino

Cozy hotel at the centre of Porto.

Pros: The hotel is simple, but comfortable. It’s located within walking distance from most of the main attractions and restaurants. The staff were very kind and helpful. I would definitely go back!

Cons: There’s nothing that I didn’t really like.

Pros: Clean and comfortable beds. I like the view from the park. Stuffs are super friendly.

Cons: The building is old so the wall is thin. We can hear the neighbors coughing. But most of the time is quiet.

Perfect base to explore Porto

Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and shower good. The TV has some decent English speaking channels if you're unwinding. Great location with loads of intimate bars and restaurants on doorstep as well as great base to explore city. Nice artisan market in the square opposite. There is a charm to the place and very good value for money. Very happy with my stay and would definitely book again.

Lovely, budget, great old building.

Pros: The location is fantastic- right next to the Cedofeita pedestrian mall. Our room was on the back of the building so we had a great view of some gardens and old neighbourhood. This hotel is in an old building with lots of charm, owned by a family and not part of a hotel chain. Great for a unique Porto experience.

Cons: No air-conditioning. There was a loud and constant noise from a massive air vent in the next door restaurant.

Charming stay in Porto

Pros: A charming hotel set in a perfect location. Was a great place to begin the Camino from. The staff were helpful, kind, and provided really useful information. Made me want to revisit Porto again, and if I do I will stay at Hotel S Marino!

Cons: It was all a lovely experience. I sat out in the terrace in the evening, and thought it could be more of a feature.

Pros: The staff were very kind and helpful abd provided an extra fan. The coffee was great. They adjusted the time for breakfast to help with our tour plans.

Cons: air conditioning would have helped

Pros: A cozy and quiet hotel in the historic center of the city. Perfect location for exploring the sights, with a peaceful atmosphere to relax after a day of walking. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the stay even more pleasant.

Great hotel that has everything you need in an amazing city.

Pros: I liked that it was right in the centre of everything. Down the road were many of the tourist attractions including the amazing Clerigos Tower. Round the corner were many nice restaurants and bars. This is great as the city can be tiring to walk around with all of its hills. The receptionists and cleaners were great and very polite. Also, the city of Porto was amazing with so many sights to see, and the view outside the hotel was just the start.

Cons: As with it being in the centre, it was a bit noisy, but you're going to get that anywhere really (and the positives of being in the centre outweigh the negatives). I'd say it was still far away enough from the bars to be ok to sleep, just maybe with the windows shut.

Pros: Good location, lovely breakfast with the best coffee I had during whole twelve days in Portugal. Staff very pleasant and helpful
