Great potential but could do better

Pros: Hotel is incredible. Recently opened so everything is done to a very high spec. It's like staying in a little piece of history. Rooms were excellent size and very clean. The spa is great (although pool is a little cold) but you have to pre-book.

Cons: We did have a few issues which weren't fully addressed by staff at the time. Firstly, we came back to our room one day and the balcony door had been left open after housekeeping had been in. This wouldn't usually be a big issue, however our balcony was directly opposite reception so access could be easily gained from ground level outside resulting in the room, and our belongings, not being secured. We raised this with the hotel reception and they weren't very apologetic. Luckily nothing was stolen from the room. We also had an issue on two occasions where maintenance had to come to our room due to us being locked out. The key fob would light up green but the door would not open. The only method of entry was to hit the door with a hammer... One day we were left outside our room for over 20 minutes after informing reception of the issue (this was the second time it happened too!). Not the expected service from a five star hotel. We were not offered anything by way of a goodwill gesture, room move or an apology from customer relations. Final thing is breakfast is very pricey (£26/person/night). It's nice, but you're better finding something locally.

For Wine Lovers: You’ll Want to Live Here, Not Just Stay Here

Pros: I highly recommend this accommodation to every wine lover. The hotel is located in an excellent spot close to the city center, and it offers a beautiful view of the city itself. Wine lovers will especially enjoy the stay thanks to the hotel’s fantastic selection of local wines and the relaxing atmosphere that pairs perfectly with a good glass. The service is outstanding, the rooms are exceptionally well equipped, and everything is perfectly clean.

This accomodation made our Porto holiday pure perfection.

Pros: The Hotel exceeded our expectations with its fabulous location, spectacular view of Porto, and easy access to the Duoro River. The breakfast was incredible, with so much selection, we had everything we could possibly want, and all the staff in the Hotel were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning to the Tivoli Kopke again.

Cons: We have no complaints at all about this Hotel.

Pros: The location is unbeatable. The Hotel was very clean and up to date. Very comfortable beds and pillows.

Cons: When we checked in the person at the front desk was not nice at all. Not welcoming and with a chip on her shoulder. Which was really a shame because it took away from the whole experience. Breakfast was ok but price/what you get not on par.

Pros: It is up the hill and very quiet. We are on Gaia side with a fantastic view on the old city of Porto as well as the . metallic bridge. Just great. My room (2nd floor) had a small terrace where I can enjoy a coffee in the sun in the morning. The spa staff are of great quality. Massage of top quality. All personnel was helpful. An experience to renew!

Cons: It is a bit complex to navigate the building.

Pros: Breakfast buffet was excellent. Staff were very attentive and keen to help. Rooms were great. Late checkout was very helpful. Lots of extra touches e.g. umbrella in room, decent sized towels, steamer for clothes. Pool was lovely. It took a while to orientate myself to the layout of the hotel. A map would be helpful!
