Oporto Golden Apartment

Best!

Pros: Nicely renovated apartment, the bed was so comfy. The location is good, walking distance to everywhwre & 10mins to attractions. Host Ana was very responsive, the best host we met and Flippe was so friendly.

Loved our time in this beautiful place

Pros: This is a gorgeous apartment in the perfect location. It's well appointed and has a fantastic view. It's quiet and everything works well. When the host found out it was my 50th birthday, she even left me a bottle of wine! We loved it there and would gladly go back!

Cons: It was perfect - though guests should make note of the fact that the master bedroom is a loft open to the living spaces below, so there is less privacy in that regard - and if those staying in the other bedroom are up early (e.g. kids) the sound really carries throughout the whole space.

Comfortable apartment with an excellent location

Pros: The apartment was tastefully furnished with a gold theme carried throughout the decor. It all felt very warm, cosy and welcoming. It was well equipped with all necessities. There were two large supermarkets, a fresh produce market and lots of restaurants nearby. I would definitely choose the apartment again for a stay in Porto

Cons: The only small difficulty we faced was that after doing some washing and hanging it up on the balcony, we could not get it dry as it seems there is not much sun during the day. We found a laundromat downstairs with a dryer that worked perfectly. I would like to suggest that the owner mentions this laundromat in the write up of the apartment

Very enjoyable

Pros: The owner, Ana Carneiro, is very responsive and thoughtful. Upon learning that my son is 6'2'', she set a roll-away bed for us because the bunker bed is a wee bit too small. We needed to check out a wee bit later because of the time of our flight and she agreed to allow us to assemble our luggage within the apartment in one corner so that her housekeeper can start the cleaning. Ana works with a partner, Rui Helder, who took us on a private tour to the scenic Douro Valley from 9am to 7:30pm. Rui is very knowledgeable and helpful who knows a lot about the various vineyards and how grapes are grown, pruned and harvested. Together they suggested a very good restaurant, Cozinha da Clara in the middle of the Douro Valley (photo uploaded) and a number of must see places.

Amazing apartment for families, highly recommended!

Pros: Superb location, walking distance to city centre and lots of restaurants close by. The rooms are great for families, both parents and kids have their own space which is fantastic. Two bathrooms are a dream!

Cons: Not much! If I have to be really picky - the water pressure for upstairs shower is quite low, it get smaller when someone is washing downstairs. But no big deal, still very convenient facility.

Parfait

Pros: Joli appartement, bien équipé, confortable, très bien situé, dans une rue calme, au 4eme étage d'un immeuble moderne avec ascenseur. Bonne connexion wifi, et Smart TV . Ana nous a accueilli avec chaleur et efficacité nous fournissant un éventail complet de bonnes adresses pour notre séjour. Cela change des traditionnelles boites a clés de plus en plus en en usage de nos jours. En résumé un hébergement parfait pour un séjour agréable à Porto. Hautement recommandé.

Pros: The apartment is beautifully renovated and decorated and in a perfect location to explore Porto. Ana was a wonderful hostess and gave us all sorts of great recommendations.

Friendly and Welcoming. Central to everything in Porto.

Pros: Ana…the property owner was exceptional. She met us to provide us with the keys in the rain. It was a nice touch on a gloomy arrival. Following this she gave us ideas on what to do in Porto. The apartment was not too difficult to find but parking presented us with usual questions in a new city. After a couple days, it became very easy to get around thanks to our host who got us off to a great start in such a rich and historic city. We would easily stay in this Oporto apartment again. The cafe through the hardware store below was a nice find.

Beautiful apartment in the heart of Porto and Filipe gave us a wonderful introduction to the city.

Pros: Ana has thought of every amenity to make your stay in Porto more comfortable. The location is perfect as a home base for exploring the city.

Beautiful Apartment with a wonderful host.

Pros: The apartment is beautiful, well equipped with everything we could need. Elevator was great as apartment was on 4th floor. Ana and Felipe were amazing with check-in and helping with luggage. Very quite.

Cons: There is currently construction going on in front of the apartment. Not the property owners fault but is inconvenient getting in and out of the apartment.
