Old City Oporto

A beautiful city to explore with lots to see and do. The apartment was so beautiful we didn’t want to leave!

Pros: The situation in Porto was just right for us. The room was spotless. The facilities were perfect and the little tarts and goodies left for us were very welcomed. We loved the balcony. It was a very comfortable place to stay and we felt relaxed. The bakery downstairs was perfect for breakfast.

Cons: Definitely not applicable. We loved it and said we could live there.

Excellent location, a 10 minute walk to the river and plenty of nice restaurants & bars around.

Pros: Excellent location with lots of character. The landlady was so helpful & wanted everything to be perfect for us. The bed was really comfortable. The local buskers could be heard until 10pm every night.

Porto lovely city to visit great for sitting with drink people watching & foodies.

Pros: Ideal location easy walking distance to River, attractions, bars & restaurants.

Cons: Very Noisy location. Due to very busy tourist location, a lot of street noise, street musicians & very large tour parties, vehicles bin collections

Fantastic base for a trip to Porto.

Pros: Fantastic hosts, Teresa and Paolo were so very helpful, responsive and friendly. The location was so central to the main areas of activity in the city. The kitchen was very well supplied for our arrival. That the apartment is next door to a bakery was a great bonus.

Cons: Due to its central position there was a bit too much of the sounds of nightlife at the weekend.

Pros: Lovely tourist apartment owned by people who run the bakery downstairs - and their bakery is very much loved by the locals, so you immediately know that you are in good hands. The room is clean and spacious. There are private bathroom, small kitchen with stove / oven / fridge / kettle / coffee machine, balcony with possibly the best view of city. The location is absolutely perfect as it is right in the city center. Food-wise, there's the bakery from the lovely hosts where you can get fresh orange juice, sweet treats including pastel de nada, savory snacks such as sandwich with pork or chicken cutlet inside. And for dinner restaurants, they are basically all in walking range from the apartment. Nearby is a drug store where you can go and get some basic medical help in case you need it.

Cons: For those who with weak knees, do know that there's no elevator or escalator. The bed is not the most comfortable and may occur as \

Beautiful Studio In Old City Porto

Pros: Beautiful apartment perfectly located for bars, restaurants and the River Douro. We stayed on the top floor so had amazing vaulted ceilings which made the already spacious studio seem enormous! Our lovely hosts left us coffee, milk, water, fruit and delicious biscuits (made in the bakery below) as a welcome gift.

Cons: One minor thing - when we were there the road ourside was being relaid so there was quite a bit of noise from 08:00, but I imagine the work should be completed soon.

Pros: Great location with very polite and helpful hosts. The deco is of good taste and matches the building.

Cons: We would have loved rubbish to be collected more often and liners for the bins to be provided if we were to do it ourselves.
