VIVA Almada Flats

Great location, great place, great host.

Pros: The location was great, very central and surrounded by all kinds of restaurants, a metro station nearby, the area has good vibes. The apartment was comfortable. We were two travelers and the two-level sleeping arrangement was very good. Both beds were real beds, big enough for a grown up. The host was excellent: easy communication before arrival, during the stay and afterwards. The host is genuinely interested in making your stay as smooth as possible. They even collected some pre-ordered deliveries for me. They didn't have to, but they did. To me, these things matter a lot to make your stay easy and nice. I would stay there again.

Pros: The location is very good, being so close to the metro stop from the airport. It is also within 10 minutes walking distance of the train station. It's quiet, cosy and is well designed. Everything matched the description except the lack of shampoo.

Cons: We knew this from the beginning, so not really a complaint, but 4 flights of stairs after a walk from the river (uphill walk - not steep, but still a hill) is a bit challenging. There was no shampoo.

Love at first sight!

Pros: The location was great , it was close to the train station and not too hectic of an uphill to get to the property. We were in the loft apartment so nice and quiet if you had the windows closed. There’s ample windows to allow fresh air in and you have some beautiful views. The water pressure was great which is a bonus for us females that have long hair :-) We didn’t cook much as we were only there for 3 nights. It’s a perfect size for 2 people, it’s safe, there’s a laundromat 2 min down the road , a nice supermarket 5 min away and lots of restaurants and a few bars to choose from. We have already recommended the property to our friends. Just note that it’s on the 4th floor and there is no lift.

Cons: We loved it! Just note that it is on the 4th floor so you will be carrying everything up. If you forgot something, a quick pop out to the shop involves climbing about 7 flights of stairs. We loved it as it became part of our daily “you can do this” challenge LoL :-) I would suggest a small drying rack for dishes and some maintenance on the block out blinds , most notably in the lounge but other than that we can’t complain about anything. We would definitely stay here again.

Close to metro and center, quiet, everything needed

Pros: Good location, more quiet if compare with the Central streets, and in the same time close to metro and not so far away from attractions. Everything needed. Self check-in. The host allowed to let things before check-in.

Cons: The air is not so fresh due to the 0 floor, which is on the other side of the building is below the surface. The cleaning was started BEFORE the check-out time, which was not so comfortable because we came back to the room after breakfast to finish our things, and there was already the cleaning in the room, and the towels on the floor etc. Water in shower didn't work so good, so weak pressure of water.

Loved the attic and sky windows. Perfect location for our short stay

Pros: Walking distance to everything. And instructions were helpful before we arrived.

Cons: Could have had more kitchen utensils and better lighting

Comfy apartment in a great location. Beware of the door lock.

Pros: Really liked the flat. Was staying on the ground floor (old well) Nice design with very comfy bed and powerful shower. Lot's of utensils to use in the kitchen, which included a coffee machine and toaster etc. There is a nice back yard through the two French doors/shutters. The location is excellent and pretty central, also very near the a main metro, which is great if you need to get to the airport early. Good value for money I think.

Cons: One point puzzled me. The door code from a link they send you. I was travelling solo and was reliant on Wi-Fi and didn't have roaming, so I found this method a little restrictive. You get a message a day before you arrive on booking.com which includes places to visit and then suddenly this link where you open up and app . Now I could have lost my phone or not had internet access, which I didn't. I did call her and she was able to let me in remotely in the end. You then get keys from key lock and then are informed not to lock the front door with the key?? One evening the door buzzer went off, beep, beeping constantly for about 40 minutes. Had to contact the owner again and she did come round to sort it. A lot of noise in the hallway on the ground floor generally.

Pros: The location was really great and the street was quiiet at night. Super comfortable beds. We really rested after a long day of walking and sightseeing. Good communication and we could check in around 12. Thank you and we wish you lots of happy tourists.💚
