Douro Garden - Authentic Portuguese Guesthouse

Pros: I could walk to all the places for sightseeing. Also it's close to the train station and there's a supermarket and cafe near there. It's a very quiet area and the bed is comfortable so I could sleep well.

Pros: Near to metro station, ATM, restaurants and grocery store, very friendly Mrs. Paula who took care of me.

Pros: Separate entry. Nice, quiet place. Close to metro and to grocery shop. Host very friendly women.

Cons: No possibility to make tea or coffee at room . I had the opportunity to use the kitchen in the main building but it was uncomfortable when it was raining

Comfortable, Warm and Welcoming

Pros: Book this property you won’t regret it! I loved the room because it looked exactly like the picture on display. It was very clean. The host Benita, was more than welcoming and helpful. They made my stay in Porto so memorable. I loved that when I was feeling unwell I felt comfortable enough to request medications, and they were given to me along with fruits and a drink to make sure I felt better that day. They respected my privacy. The shared kitchen and bathroom were kept very clean and the building overall had a pleasant smell. If you need to check in earlier than mentioned, I would advise that you call or email directly in advance to ask if it is possible, to avoid any last minute inconveniences to the host and for you as the guest.

Pros: Benita is a very friendly and helpful person. Madd our life easier in Porto. Very nice room, clean and quite. Fully equipped kitchen. Wine gift was sweet!

Cons: Literally nothing

Pros: The place is really nice and it is clear and obvious that the owners made a huge effort to think about every detail and make the guests' stay as comfortable and pleasing as possible. The styling, the equipment and the materials, everything is so nice and thoughtful.

Cons: Nothing, it was all good.

Pros: Great location, not expensive, yet cosy and clean, more importantly very available staff. The staff also has a long list of things to see, shops and restaurants nearby.

Great place to stay with green garden+rooftop

Pros: Located at Gaia quarter where you can get all for daily life, this calm place was the best I could get during my stay at Porto. The lovely south riverside of Douro and the WOW cultural district are in walking distance too. The kitchen is fully equipped and the staff very friendly and welcoming! 100% recommendation:)

Pros: Very nice and well equipped new luxury hostel with incredible bang for buck. Big living room and kitchen, washing machine, hair dryer, grill, rooftop area, lovely garden, ping pong table and more. Peacefull area with big food market and metro station close by. Also kind of easy walking distance from the city centre.

Comfort, convenience, hospitality

Pros: The hosts went above and beyond to be welcoming and helpful; they even upgraded my room after I made a booking mistake! I found it comfy, felt safe, and appreciated using the shared kitchen. The garden and patio were relaxing when the weather was nice. The proximity to shops and the metro (about two blocks) was convenient.

Cons: I would stay longer if I could.
