Would Recommend

Pros: Staff all helpful and welcoming. Gabriella and Dominico helped me with my translating when booking taxis, great help. We used the bag storage on our last day. Hotel nicely decorated and clean. TV, coffee maker, mini fridge, safety deposit box, hairdryer in the room. Bathroom good size with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, handsoap, body lotion. Breakfast really good. Tea, coffee, juice, pastries, bread, yogurt, cereal, meats, cheese, bacon, scrambled egg. Under 10 mins walk to bridge, metro, sao bento train station. Easy 30 mins walk to bus station, 7 mins walk to funicular. We took bus to Braga, Aveiro and Guimaraes really enjoyed our stay. Happy with our stay will recommend.

Cons: Didn't like the 40 euro deposit extra per night which is refunded at the end off your stay. Hopefully will receive soon. Not keen on the sloped ceiling on our room on the top floor.

Very beautifull hotel

Pros: This hotel is very central, so you can reach all the major sights just by walking. Our room was clean, and was cleaned every day. Our staf was very kind and helpfull. They let us even check in earlier and helped us get a taxi early in the morning. One night we had room service and the food was also tasty.

Cons: We were in january and it was extreme hard to set the right heating. Our room was heated with aircon; if u wouldn't turn it on it was extreme cold, but wth. heating on, even when set on 20c, the room would very soon get too warm and stuffy. It was not a big problem though. Just note, if you travel in wimter months, you don't need super-warm pj's :)

Pleasant stay. Ideal choice.

Pros: It was my third time I’ve stayed at Arts Hotel, I think it shows my genuine preference. Clean, comfortable, attentive and friendly staff, delicious food, practical location and charming decor.

Modern, cute and enjoyable!

Pros: An easy-to-locate venue, cute and artsy decor and friendly staff! Our room initially did not have a kettle, but had an expresso machine instead - so we asked for a kettle and were immediately provided for with one. Also the newly opened Garden Balthazar Cafe next door was a great bonus as we are vegetarian - and that particular restaurant has plenty of options for travellers like us with specific dietary needs!

Cons: Our room was a little compact, with lesser storage space and flat surfaces to accommodate our daypacks, bottles, receipts, books etc. We ended up using the beautiful chair given in the room for storage instead of sitting!

Porto Discovery

Pros: Right from our arrival we were greeted and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our 4 night stay. The room was well thought out and clean. All of the things one expects from a good hotel - opening windows, light blocking curtains, choice of pillows, good functioning air-conditioning and a shower with plenty of pressure. The hotel restaurant was also excellent, including the breakfast. We would stay at this hotel again.

Cons: There isn't much negative to say about this hotel. Perhaps the bed could have been a bit softer.

A perfect stay in a lovely city

Pros: Situated in the centre. Immaculately clean throughout. The room was very comfortable and impeccably clean, warm and equipped with coffee making facilities, hairdryer, iron, toiletries, fridge, safe and two lovely pastel de nata on arrival. Breakfast was sufficient and the staff were warm, attentive and pleasant. My room was cleaned and tidied daily and my bed made and towels exchanged.

Cons: The only tiny negative was the shower took a long time for the hot water to come through

A comfortable and pleasant stay.

Pros: Modern facilities. Comfortable room. Close proximity to food and shopping area. Breakfast area was small but offers sufficient variety.

Cons: Only little issue is that the washroom was rather small.

Pros: The cleanliness of the rooms, as well as the comfort of the bed mattress and pillows. The hotel is also situated in a good location nearby cafes, restaurants and it is also very close to Santa Katerina shopping street.

Cons: The rooms were small - it would be difficult for a couple travelling with a big suitcase since there is no space in the room to open it. If you travel with cabin luggage it is fine. Most of the staff was polite with the exception of two members who were indifferent and moody. The breakfast was limited with the same food variety - for a country with plenty of meat and dairy products this shouldn't be a problem. There was also a limited choice of fruit.

Comfortable and calm little find!

Pros: We had a really lovely overnight stay here. Would have enjoyed staying longer . Comfortable clean hotel in a great location . Very nice plunge pool and roof area for relaxing as well as a pretty bar and garden area with a retractable roof for sunny days . Extremely friendly and helpful staff . Good breakfast with adequate choice. Loved the solid colours of the various corridors . Chic and streamlined design . Pasteis de Nata were a nice touch as a welcome to the hotel - thank you.
