Hotel ibis Porto Gaia

Pros: Hotel close to city center but you should have car to reach it properly. Good quality/price relation for a short stay and a good alternative when looking for a cheaper option

Pros: The hotel was perfect for my stay with my dog. Very clean room with all that is needed. Polite and welcoming staff and great coffee. My dog even received a welcome gift. Highly recommend.

Really great value for money and perfect stay

Pros: Very friendly staff, perfect room even with sea view and great breakfast! Beds comfortable and rooms very clean.

Cons: Sound insulation wasn't great but that's often the case with hotels

Pros: Plenty of parking spaces available around the hotel. Good breakfast with nice options, including good coffee and fresh orange juice. By car, you can reach beautiful beaches in about 10 minutes. The main bridge parking lot is also not too far. Overall a good choice for travelers arriving by car.

Cons: The air conditioning(central managed not A/C in each room) did not work properly at times. It felt more like a fan and didn’t cool the room effectively, and for about an hour it was completely out of service. Communication with reception was challenging, as the staff spoke limited English. Explaining the AC issue became too complicated, so we gave up and went out; fortunately, it was working again when we returned at night. The toilet had poor suction, which caused an unpleasant smell during the day and night. The hotel itself has only around 10 ungated parking spaces. We had to use nearby gated parking areas, and each time the parking card had to be validated at reception to exit, which was inconvenient. Hopefully, in the future, the hotel can offer guest cards with unlimited in-and-out access.

Cons: The breakfast had a good variety of fruits and sweets, but the overall food selection was very limited. And it was the same every day.

Great hotel, clean, quiet (and secure bicycle storage)

Pros: Clean, quiet, fantastic staff - friendly and welcoming on arrival. Bike storage.

Cons: A little way out of town but suited me for my needs.

Perfect accom and breakfast, good staff and views / position for Porto

Pros: Great quality accom and staff good. Breakfast was good Slightly small bed rooms but great beds and facilities , Ibis have gone up in our estimations .. very good and would stay again ..

Pros: I’m familiar with Ibis I have used 3 times. I used a superior room on this occasion, stick to a standard room as they are similar.

Cons: City taxes charged.
