Zero Box Lodge Porto

Great spot, lovely and more unique hotel stay.

Pros: Great place to stay in Porto. The hotel is really in a great location. The staff member who greeted us was excellent. The rooms are very different to a traditional hotel and that is not a bad thing. About the rooms themselves, they're great. Yes, there is no TV but really, who needs one in the first place when on holiday. Rooms were well sized and bathrooms are plenty large. Again, staff were super helpful and accommodating. The bar below does get pretty busy in the late evenings which was fun/nice to see. I would stay again :)

Cons: I was told by a staff member that the hotel does not run AC during the winter months (this is fine and their decision) however, as it's a box room with no windows except for a small vent that you can open... it was quite warm in the room even in late Feb - something to consider and to remember the first night's stay! Soundproofing could be improved but honestly, it's fine.

Do it! It was amazing!

Pros: Anytime again! Everything was very comfotable and definitely exceptional. :D Breakfast was great, and you get a discount in the restaurant. The restaurant is also amazing, staff is very pro and helpful!

Cons: I stayed only two nights...

Only stayed one night as travelling through but was really impressed If I was to return to Porto I would definitely book

Pros: It is a very quirky hotel. The common areas like bar, restaurant are the star of the show. Loved breakfast where you essentially go into kitchen with the chefs and chat away while they cook. Location really convenient for city centre.

Cons: Nothing really was impressed

Hidden Gem

Pros: The whole place was fab, from the warm welcome by the reception team, to the welcome beer, to the room itself. Bar area was warm and cosy too on wet Porto evenings. Staff even gave us a packed breakfast for early checkout. (Not sure about the snorkel mask on room 🤣)

Good value for 2 nights.

Pros: The location was walking distance from most things. The reception staff were amazing and assisted me with a few tweaks needed to my onward journey due to the heavy rain and floods. There were plenty of comfortable seating areas. The room was ckean and comfortable and the bathroom was spcious, but 2 nights was enough.

Cons: The soundproofing is poor. You can hear people outside the room in the corridor really clearly and in the rooms next door. I also heard music playing till late and I'm not sure if it was from the bar or my neighbours. I didn't pay for breakfast, but it didn't look like good value for money considering what you could buy locally.

Pros: The best place ever with the most unique people. We are happy staying at this amazing hotel.

Cool little hotel with an interesting concept

Pros: Location is central and ideal for exploring the city. Rooms are a box. You know that already though, right? Breakfast was great, considering it was billed as being continental, there were eggs cooked to order, and bacon available, as well as make-your-own crepes. Coffee machine did a good job!

Cons: Air con didn't work in my box. Luckily it was winter, but it stayed at 22 degrees for the entire stay. I imagine it might be a challenge in summer.

Central cool box

Pros: Very central location, staff was friendly and helpfull, decorations of the hostel super nice, we had a great time there! Have a roof terrace and a restaurant on ground floor. Box was comfortable, slept great, perfect sound isolation.

Cons: All was great!

Pros: The room was very comfortable and modern, and everything was very clean. The bed was great and we slept really well. The location is also good, within walking distance of many places and close to transport. Staff were friendly and helpful during our stay.

I highly recommend this place

Pros: Everything. It was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed.
