Cool Guesthouse

Pros: Porto was priceless and Cool Guesthouse is upper class accommodation at very low cost and 5 Star location.

Pros: Fantastic location right next to the market and the main shopping area.Short stroll to the tour bus.The metro has a stop that brings you out in the market. It's clean and tidy.

Cons: I could see for some people a lack of a lift maybe a problem. I was on the top floor which is flights of stairs, if you are there for a while with a suitcase its an issue .Also its a shared bathroom again for some people that would be an issue aswell if guess.

Pros: Spacious room with firm beds, clean, nice shared kitchen area and bathroom. Check-in went smoothly.

Cons: There's no AC, to cool the room we opened the windows but the traffic noise was loud. Closing the windows helped with the traffic noise. Ear plugs also helped.

Recommend location and great to have kitchen and fridge access.

Pros: Location is perfect. Right by the market, and pedestrian street, and metro. There is a kitchen.

Cons: I missed aircon during the heatwave. But there was a fan. The clothes washing machine “is for decoration”.

Pros: The location was good: safe and calm nearby: a walk to the main river area but a very nice walk. Extremely clean facilites. Room size and presentation exactly as advertised (more than sufficient) and pleasant. As clearly noted in the booking, many stairs with no lift, but staff helped with my bag (thank you!) Secure. Kitchen clean and sufficiently spacious etc. Clear expectations noted in room and kitchen re: do’s and don’ts. Overall good value for money.

Cons: As noted in other reviews, my room was on the top floor and there was no A/C. However, this was already clear in the information about the property, so is known before arrival. A standing fan was provided which could be moved close to the bed which was helpful. It was abit hard to manage baggage while returning the key due to reception being in a different place than the accommodation. However again this is clear in the pre- booking information. Walls were thin but I had quiet fellow guests next door so that was good.

Great location for access to all areas. Near main shopping area and Bolhão market

Pros: It was safe. It was spotless. Instructions for check out were clear. Bed comfortable .. shared bathroom spotless

Value for money for a central location

Pros: Excellent location for shopping and market, not far to reach the main sites. The room was quiet, and the kitchen was a nice addition even though I didn’t need to use it. I had a shared bathroom but with only one other room.

Cons: The bathroom was clean with plenty of hot water but it needs modernising.

Pros: IKEA beds, access to a fridge and microwave. Bathroom next to bedroom. Clean. Price and location great. Thanks.

Cons: No lamps nor mirror in bedroom. One ceiling bulb in bathroom needs replacing. The bidet in our adjacent bathroom didn't work. No place to leave luggage after check-out as no official reception. One faulty socket point that needs repairing in our room 33.

Pros: The location was excellent. Was clean and tidy with fully equipped kitchen.

Cons: Room was very small without a window that could open. Felt stuffy. Could hear everything going on in the other rooms.

I could come again in this apartment

Pros: Location is superb either for walking around or commuting (near metro station). Though centrally positioned it was calm and quiet. Two bathrooms shared for three rooms in the upper floor. Everything is clean.

Cons: Two many steps, not convenient for guests with bad legs. Bad soundproofing every step or word is heard.
