Santa Catarina Guest House (Porto city center)

Pros: The location is excellent. The bed was great, with a wonderful mattress and pillows, and a super heavy blanket — which I loved the most. The shower was perfect: very modern and offering different modes to choose from. Many places are within walking distance, so I didn’t need to use any public transport. There is also a well-equipped kitchen where you can cook anything you like. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay.

Cons: It can be a bit noisy at times, you can hear people walking or using the stairs in the corridor. I would recommend bringing earplugs if you are a light sleeper. There is no elevator, and there are quite a few stairs to climb.

Fantastic Central Porto location highly recommended

Pros: Really central location in a very vibrant part of Porto. Lovely older building full of character. The communal kitchen was really well appointed. Our room was very comfortable, had a great shower and relaxed the character of the wooden beams. Our host kindly left us a bottle of wine (not sure if 'as standard' or because there was a late room change?)

Cons: The stairs were a bit challenging, particularly the last flight to our room which was on quite a narrow landing. The green fire exit light in our room also wasn't ideal for a dark night sleep

Cozy and nice location

Pros: Pretty and cozy house. The common room is also a nice place to spend. It got everything I need during the stay.

Cons: Too many stairs… if you have to carry a large suitcase then you need to think carefully.

Pros: Location 100/10, could not be better. 5 min walk from Bolhão metro station and 10 min walk from basically all landmarks in Porto. Fully equipped shared kitchen with fridge and freezer. Shower was great and room had heating (no air conditioning). My room even had a small balcony.

Cons: Mattress and pillows were uncomfortable. Pillows were too high and hard and mattress too soft. If you don't mind about those things do not worry.

Pros: I liked the independence to come and go as I pleased. The location was excellent, with all facilities on the doorstep. Not too far from all the sites.

Cons: Can't think of any.

The place to stay when visiting Porto, super price quality ratio

Pros: Perfect location to explore Porto. In the middle of a shopping street, with lots of restaurants around the corner . Very friendly host, clear check in and check out instructions, very helpful and replying fast on emails

Pros: A super-spacious, elegant room right in the centre of the main shopping district. The shared kitchen is also large and well equipped.

Highly Recommended: Clean, Convenient & Hassle-Free Stay

Pros: The location is very convenient, close to many famous attractions. I was able to visit everything just by walking from the hostel. Everything was clean. I had no issues with the self check-in process, and the staff were friendly, eventhough interaction was only virtual 😇😊

Pros: The location was fantastic! Close to the main attractions of the city. Restaurants and grocery stores were very close. The room was big and clean. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Self check in was seamless.

Cons: The street noise was a bit loud on one of our nights (but fine the other, so it seems to be hit and miss). There was no AC so it did get a bit warm and stuffy in the room. There is a fan which was helpful and we slept with the window open.

Pros: Everything is perfect: centrally located but not noisy at all at night, clean, comfortable, spacious, helpful staff
