OLOPO Hostel

Pros: Location is very good, if you arrive late by bus or leave early, it's a 10 minutes downhill walk to the bus station (slightly uphill to the hostel). Quite residential area, looks a bit abandoned, but I felt safe, there are people living around. You can walk to the central area with all sights in around 30 minutes. My room was very spacious and clean, there was a heater. Plenty of bathrooms. It was quite, as there weren't many other guests. Doors are a bit noisy, so that might be a problem, if the hostel is full. Good directions for self-check-in. Overall a great place to stay, of you need to stay in this area.

Great place to stay especially as a solo traveller

Pros: Lovely warm, clean comfortable room. Absolutely great value for money. Instant hot water in the shower. Free toiltries just in case you forgot yours.

Worth to stay.

Pros: Clean and value of money. Although it’s not in the city center, it’s still close to train station that can access many places.

Cons: Wifi at room was quite weak.

I really recommend this hostel and I will stay again in my next visit to Porto.

Pros: The hostel is very nice and quiet,a little bit out of central Porto but the location is good. It’s walkable around ten minutes for the closest Metro station called Campanhā. I stayed three nights and went to another city and back in the following day to stay two more nights and kindly they kept my stuff for me. The staff were very friendly and helpful also they have fresh drink water for the guests and a very well equipped kitchen with stove,fridge,microwave,toaster etc..

It was nice and I recommend this very good hostel.

Pros: The all staff very friendly and helpful.Kitchen with utensils and everything that you need,fresh drink water for the guests and free labels for your food kept on the fridge. Very clean and quiet at the night. I felt at home and back in this hostel when I back to Porto again. It is walkable from the train station called Campanhā and it is about 10/12 minutes away but enough for the price charged.

Just fine for a night or two. Close enough to bus station.

Pros: I had a room to myself so that's certainly a plus. Alberque was unique in an old building which housed a mix of travellers and long-stay guests, kinda like a rooming house. Maria, the young lady who checked me in was a pleasure and very helpful as to what was in the area,

Cons: It is quite a walk to get to most restaurants, There are a couple of bar/snack shops nearby. There is also a decent little fruit and veg stand and a little grocery store nearby.

Pros: The room was for 2 persons. Room was clean with enough space. Common spaces were also well-organized. The stuff is polite and responsiveness.

Cons: As a hostel option it was generally good. Sometimes may be noisy outside, it’s better to have an earplugs just in caee.

Pros: It was clean and the staffs were really nice. I recommend to everyone. Just for an advice to the property; it would be super nice if there are lockers in the room but everywhere is camera so there is no problem about security.

Pros: Beautiful building sympathetically updated - blending original features with modern twist. The kitchen was very well equipped . My room was very comfortable.

Comfortable and convenient, airy spot to stay.

Pros: Located a fairly short walk from Campanha (metro and train station), the Olopo Hostel has a very distinctive style of architecture, is very light and airy, has a large, well-equipped kitchen and a comfortable common room. My own room got a good afternoon breeze and also had a Dyson bladeless fan that worked very well.

Cons: Nothing.
