Palacete Severo

Pros: This is by far one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in, especially in terms of the hosts. The décor is luxurious yet not overwhelming, with a charming character that I absolutely loved. The bed was very comfortable, the room spacious, and the outdoor heated pool was clean and relaxing. The breakfast is definitely worth it as well. We needed a proper break from day-to-day life, and this stay was perfect. I also had a massage during our visit, which was incredibly relaxing — the masseuse clearly knows what she’s doing. The real charm of the hotel, however, is the hosts. From welcoming us at the main gate to sending us off with a box of croissants for the road, we truly felt pampered. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you to the whole team for taking such wonderful care of us.

Cons: Everything was great.

Pros: Everything was perfect. The building itself is absolutely stunning, with a truly elegant old-money vibe that I’d especially like to highlight. Whether you were having breakfast, walking through the garden, strolling down the corridors, or simply lying in bed in your room, it always felt like staying in a quiet, refined mansion full of understated luxury.

Amazing hotel and staff.

Lovely small luxury hotel. Perfect for a city break.

Pros: A beautifully converted palazzo with great facilities including pool, gym and spa. All the staff were excellent. Friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Luxurious stay in a gorgeous restored palace with the best food in Portugal!

Pros: A grand refurbished palace with all the character you would expect but with modern enhancements. Staff were so helpful, friendly & welcoming. Best food we’ve had in Portugal with hospitality to match.

Cons: Not in the old town but Ubers are the cheapest in the world so really easy to get to the centre.

Pros: The hotel was in a beautiful and very well maintained space that felt secluded, an oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Porto. The staff were attentive without being fussy and the hotel was finished to an exceptional standard throughout.

Cons: There was nothing about our stay that I didn't enjoy, would happily return to the hotel.

Pros: All the staff were amazing very helpful and friendly especially Gabriel who was very knowledgeable about wine and we enjoyed talking to him and appreciated his advice Andrea was also lovely and very attentive. We liked the location it was a bit farther away from the main attractions but was an oasis we looked forward to returning to. The food was very good. The pool area was relaxing. I had an excellent treatment in the Spa.

Cons: We couldn’t really fault it if I had to say something perhaps space for longer hanging clothes in the wardrobe and a hook for the towelling robes but really it was a great stay.

Top quality stylish boutique hotel

Pros: We enjoyed everything about the hotel. The location is quiet but close enough to sites, we walked to most places from the hotel. The hotel is quite small and intimate (which we like), the bedroom and bathroom was beautifully designed and well appointed. We enjoyed the use of the pool and the breakfast service is exceptional - tasty, a good range of food and beverage options matched with good service.

Cons: Nothing of substance. The only suggestion is to have more free weights in the gym.

Pros: The hotel staff were amazing. This is what made our stay so excellent. From the reception team, to Andrea and the breakfast serving team, nothing was too much trouble and everyone was so wonderful and friendly. The front desk reception staff were super helpful and always willing to give recommendations or make bookings for guests. The hotel rooms were clean and the bed was super comfortable. The room was nice and quiet too. We didn't mind being slightly outside city centre and walked to Porto old town daily. The swimming pool is heated and there are plenty of loungers and towels available. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

A small heaven in Porto

Pros: A peaceful place in the house of Ricardo Severo transformed in a hotel with high quality of service at all levels. A place with garden and a heated pool surrounded with green...the staff was so professional, a big thx to Andrea for her positivity, smile and the sense of details ..it is a quite place where you can forgot the rest of the world
