Clean Comfortable Friendly Basic Hotel

Pros: Very clean. Very friendly helpful staff. 35-minute walk to the centre downhill. We used Uber to come home around 10 euro for 6 of us. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast is very basic, but in with the price so good start to the day

Palanca

Pros: The hotel has got a lot of potential. I liked the location near to the amenities but also very quiet. Nearby you will also find nice restaurants with traditional Portuguese food

Cons: Maybe the bed was too firm for me

Good value for money considering the cost of other accommodation nearby

Pros: Basic property but clean, nice staff, good breakfast that you could help yourself to (bread, cheese, ham, yogurts, drinks), easy walking distance from restaurants, 45 minutes walk from centre of Porto

Cons: We were on the first floor and could hear breakfast being prepared from around 6am and people walking and talking. It wasn’t awful, but it was there

Pros: The very kind staff of this hotel. Furniture and facilities are a bit old fashionable but functional, I loved them Very clean room.

Cons: Breakfast, not so various but served in a very spacious and clean room. The hotel is about 25 min on foot from the centre of the city (if you go on foot at the end of the day could be quite far). But Marques metro station is just 8 min walk.

Pros: We stayed for just one night. The hotel is older, but very clean and well kept. All praise goes to the lovely lady at the reception – she was incredibly kind and helpful.

Wish we were closer to the river.

Pros: The check-in was fast. There is a reception 24 hours. When we called to tell them our show was not working, they came right away. We were able to use the indoor parking for the whole stay which is great because it is very hard to find parking and there are paying meters everywhere. Housekeeping came in during the day to clean the room. Breakfast was good.

Cons: The only con is the 20 minute walk to the Douro river. Down is not too bad but on a hot day, it is very had to make it up hill. We opted for a 13 euro cab drive back.
