We would definitely return and recommend.A big shout out to Filipe the barman he was excellent

Pros: The room was modern clean bright and so quiet, breakfast was very good with everything you would expect, the location was very good straight down the hill to the Douro , but a long walk for someone with walking issues, but Ubers are so cheap and available this was not a problem for our group of 8

Cons: we liked everything we ate in the restaurant and the food very excellent other than a little cold, which the staff apologised for

Pros: We got a free upgrade which was very nice, breakfast was really good aswell. Bed was super comfy and reception staff was helpful.

Pros: Bedrooms are so crisp and clean. We had a balcony which was great to sit out and chill. The breakfasts were great and served until 1030. The costs of food and drinks were very affordable. The cocktails were amazing. The staff were friendly and so very helpful.

A good hotel away from the tourist madness

Pros: Away from the tourist area, so quiet and relaxed, BUT at the top of a hill, so a hard walk at the end of the day. However, it was ok once we'd worked out the busses and Metro. I think it would be very helpful if the hotel provided their guests with information on local bus and Metro stops and also some advice on buying Avanti travel cards from the machines. Everything is in Portuguese and many of the stations are unmanned, so it's quite a challenge making the right guesses as to which buttons to press!!!

Cons: Had a minor issue with the garden bar staff who were nowhere to be found when we wanted to pay the bill. Also one issue with cleaners when our room was missed until we came home in the afternoon and complained.
